Mainly responsible for mechanical support and storage.

Examples : Parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma

Complex Tissue

Made up of more than one type of cells.

Mainly responsible for the transport of water, minerals, sugars and

other metabolites.

Examples Xylem and phloem.
