Solution: The Iysosomes contain very powerful hydrolytic enzymes which

are capable of breaking down organic matter. For example, when a cell

gets damaged, then Iysosomes burst and enzymes digest their own cell.

Hence, the Iysosomes are known as 'suicide bags' of cells.
