Complementary goods are those that are consumed together.

Tea and sugar, for example. If the price of sugar rises, the demand for tea will decline. The demand for sugar will be reduced if the price of tea rises.

If there is an increase in the price of tea (PT) ,then the demand for sugar decreases (DS).

If there is an increase in the price of sugar(PS) then the demand for tea decreases(DT)
