When a consumer's income rises, demand for inferior goods decreases. As a result, the demand for lower-quality goods rises in tandem with consumer affordability.

Example: When the price of a good (Px )rises, so does the demand for the good .

(Dx) The desire for inferior goods falls as the consumer's income rises. Foods such as coarse grains are an example.
